The Art Gallery of South Australia is by far one of the finest I have visited in Australia . It's not exactly the largest I have seen, but it's done an excellent job at preserving its original, heritage gallery and the curators utilised the space very cleverly. Managing both the work and the arrangement of the art wonderfully while creating contemporary spaces at the rear and basement.

Some very special pieces here, including Tom Roberts' 'The Breakaway'. There are also some wonderful tapestries and sculptural work to observe.

There is a wonderful mix of Australian work and European work, which appear in perfect harmony through out the gallery.

If you want to revitalise your mind visit this gallery this weekend for there is something for everyone here to see.

if you feel a bit hungry there is a gallery restaurant too! it offers a small but satisfying menu with a nice eat out area also!

The opening hours are from 10 am to 5 pm daily. and if you want to ring ahead and see what the gallery has in store call 08 8207 7000.

Parking is available opposite the Art Gallery in the Wilson's Carpark on North Terrace, and one of the good thing about the Art Gallery Of South Australia is that it is within a very short walking from the city.
