Art Explorers is typical of a library meeting, or in this case art gallery meeting, for parents to take their three to five year old children to participate in the appreciation of works of art at the
Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA).
**
Each session explores a single artwork in the Gallery's Collection.**
At the end of the session, each child can
receive an activity pack to make their own creation inspired by the focus artwork. During the first program, participants shall discover the artwork Ku' (Camp Dog) by artist Craig Koomeeta.
This event is
free and fortnightly and requires registration on:
www.eventbrite.com.au linked to the appropriate page for the event. Keep in mind that
to allow as many children and families as possible to participate, only one session may be booked in every three month cycle.
Because the event is lasting beyond recent COVID restrictions in Brisbane, it is anticipated that it will be continuing on, with places for late April and future events yet to be sold out. Subject to availability, parking is free at the Cultural Centre Precinct car parks. Make sure you arrive early to ensure adequate time from finding a car parking space to arriving at the venue. Bus, ferry and train are also possible ways to access GOMA.
