Jackie had always wanted to become a commercial artist and after studying a different avenue after school, she set off on a ten-year tour of Australia, New Zealand, the Mediterranean, Israel, Europe and Ireland.
On her return to WA and following on from her childhood dream, Jackie undertook multiple courses in drawing, watercolour painting, silk painting, textiles and even a full year of design at TAFE.
Life interfered with her artistic plans and around ten years ago, after six months of reflection, Jackie decided that it was definitely time to go back to basics of who she is ľan artist, and follow her childhood dreams.
She commenced art classes and developed her own style, and Jackie now uses mostly oils as well as acrylics. She has since decided she didn't want to do anything else but paint, and so began her wonderful career in art/painting.
Anzac Day - Acrylic on Canvas
Jackie often paints using hidden images and this makes her work all the more fascinating.
