There's no shortage of art galleries to visit in Goolwa with an enticing array of art on show.
South Coast Regional Art Centre (SCRAC) resides in the building that was once the police station and courthouse.
Emerging and professional artists from across the Southern Fleurieu region exhibit here and it's a great place to pause for a while. The building itself has a powerful atmosphere and aspects of the original police station and court room can still be seen.
Wednesday February 15 sees the start of a month-long solo exhibition by talented local artist, Nicole Pascal.
Nicole has an eclectic repertoire from classic still life paintings to the fanciful. She uses various different media but work in this exhibition is mostly produced with the use of ink, pastels and acrylic paint.
Nicole has recently returned from her first trip to Japan where she found new inspiration.
Nicole will give a floor talk on Friday 17 February at 4pm and her exhibition will be opened at 5.30pm by her teacher and mentor of eight years, Graham Pankhurst.
The exhibition is open Wednesday to Friday 11am-4pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am-4pm. Why not pay a visit and be inspired, perhaps even visit a few more Goolwa galleries, they are mostly
within walking distance . You could even consider combining your
walk with lunch.
