If you have ever wanted to try your hand at drawing or painting, join qualified art teacher Mia Clark at The ArtRoom this summer.Mia has over 3 decades experience teaching both children and adults and offers a diverse range of interactive classes for all skill levels.Each class is held in a small group, allowing Mia to offer one on one advice and handy tips and tricks.Be inspired and indulge your creative side at The ArtRoom - check out the exciting 2019 classes below. Bookings are now open. Open DaysSaturday 9th February and Saturday 16th FebruaryIncludes a no-obligation trial class - email [email protected] to book your place. SmArty Pants - Grade 1 & 2 Art ClassSaturday 9th February till Saturday 6th April, 9am till 10am Play-based, explorations of art materials and techniques to encourage your child's imaginations, problem-solving capabilities and joy in self-expression. Flying Artists - Grade 3 & 4 Art ClassSaturday 9th February till Saturday 6th April, 10.15am till 11.15am A class to develop your creative genius' skills (colour choices and composition). Children will also be introduced to some famous artists and movements to deepen their understanding of art. StArt Art... Get into Art. Monday 11th Feb to Monday 4th March, 9am till 11.15am In this class, Mia will prove that absolutely anyone can learn to draw. This class is also suitable for those who already paint and draw and would like some mentoring. Art Adventures Grades 5, 6, 7 Art ClassTuesday 12th February till Tuesday 2nd April, 3.30pm till 4.30pm Explore a variety of mediums and techniques, with more focus on representing the visible world with greater accuracy. Students will also be encouraged to be imaginative and open to creative problem-solving. Drawing Club BTuesdays, 12th February till Tuesday 2nd April, 4.30pm till 5.30pm Is your child keen on drawing but frustrated by the problems they encounter? It is important to resolve this stage of drawing development in order for students to move forward and build their confidence. Studio Art ClassMonday 4th February till Monday 1st April, 6pm till 9pm A mentored class for beginners to advanced, working in any medium. Regular participants currently include artists working in graphite, soft pastels, acrylics and watercolour. StArt Art After WorkFrom Wednesday 13th March till Wednesday 6th April, 6pm till 8.30pm In this class, Mia will prove that absolutely anyone can learn to draw. This class is also suitable for those who already paint and draw and would like some mentoring.Sunday Sessions @ The ArtRoomCome along and join Mia and fellow students for casual drawing and painting sessions.
