Springtime is the ideal time to view roses in full bloom. A beautiful heritage garden in Hahndorf will feature all things roses. This is a not to be missed event for roses lovers. Legendary Horticultural Gurus David Ruston, Walter Duncan, Allan Campbell, Trevor Nottle will be attending the glorious garden and home of Hans Heysen known as The Cedars. This special event reflects the passion of Hans Heysen and his family for the growing, arranging and painting of heritage roses.

Art and Roses at The Cedars
This celebration of roses will take place on
Sunday, November 8th 2015, 10am to 5pm. Visitors can view the historic garden and the studios of Hans Heysen and Nora Heysen, plus their still life works featuring roses. There are also comprehensive tours of the Heysen family home.

This is a not to be missed event for roses lovers.
Heritage Roses
Heritage roses will be featured, with special varieties such as Souvenir de la Malmaison on display and for sale. Why not stay for morning or afternoon tea under the vines, or select homemade produce from the market stall.

In Celebration of Roses
Garden TalksWalter Duncan will speak on his connection with the Heysen family and their love of heritage roses. Allan Campbell will speak on Heysen's gardening skills and favourite roses. In addition Trevor Nottle will give a talk on companion planting for roses, and George Thompson on rose breeding.
