Mon 10 Dec 2012 - Mon 17 Dec 2012

Starting on 10 December 2012, the ArtAbility festival will regale Melburnians for one long week with a magnificent visual arts exhibition, created and presented by artists living with various disabilities hailing from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds.
Like every year, this year's exhibition has an unique theme. This year's theme is Dreams, presented in a wide range of mediums incorporating paintings, sketches, sculptures, tapestries, photographs and poetry.

Aimed at delivering a sensory extravagance at the utmost level, this enthralling exhibition offers a high-profile platform to artists to express themselves in a way that surpasses all barriers and divisions, including language, racism age, physical and mental health challenges. Providing an exquisite platform for talented artists from different cultural backgrounds, this festival has assisted many aspiring artists to carve out a niche in the arts industry and host their own exhibitions after partaking in ArtAbility. Creations of many of these gifted artists can be found ostentatiously displayed in numerous public and corporate venues in and around Melbourne.

The proud sponsors of ArtABility include veritable organisations like Hope for the Future, Federation Square, MediQuest, Motion Printing, iD-Concepts and Dean's Art.

Now the most important question. How do you get there? The Federation Square is located in the heart of Melbourne and is sprawled out next to Flinders Street Station and can be accessed by buses, trams and trains. Further, the Federation Square has its very own multi-level car park which can be easily accessed from Russell Street or Batman Avenue (Exhibition Street extension – City Link). The Federation Square Car Park is open to the public 24/7.

This absolutely free festival is a must-see event in the month of December.
