This place makes you feel like you've entered an extension of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. You won't find any mass produced treats here. Everything from the chocolate freckles, Easter eggs, Easter bunnies, rocky roads, truffles, ice-cream, pastries and cakes are hand crafted and made by the chocolaterie chefs on site every day. You will find a huge range (I mean a huge range of over 250) of sweet treats to choose from. The staff has even nicknamed one section in the showroom as the "Great Wall of Chocolate" which is a fitting name as its spans an entire wall and is floor to ceiling stocked with chocolate. Great care has been taken to ensure that the products are unique, delicious and suit all tastes.
No need to check the weather forecast before you leave home. If it's hot, you can take a stroll with your ice cream through the emerging orchard's fruit trees and gardens or head down and feed the ducks by the dam. If it's raining, you can sip a hot chocolate or have a cake and enjoy the view in the outdoor cafe that overlooks the property
If you have a budding chocolatier in your midst, they also offer junior chocolaterie classes for ages 6-12. A 45 minute class that will absolutely delight and the kids get to make their own chocolate creations and take them home. Check out the website for the next one and I believe there will be some coming up in the school holidays.
The Annual Easter Egg hunt for ages 12 and under is also very popular and will be held on Good Friday, Saturday and Easter Sunday at 10am, 12 noon, 2pm and 4pm (no bookings required) in the picturesque grounds. More details on their website under the section "What On".
