Now in its 21st year, Bupa Around the Bay - Fundraise for The Smith Family is all set to bring all cyclists, big and small, together on Sunday 20 October 2013 for a day of fantastic bike riding experience.

No matter your cycling experience, fitness level, or cycling ability, Bupa Around the Bay has a ride for you. Riding around Melbourne's beautiful Port Phillip Bay, participants have a choice of ten different events with various routes and distances ranging from the 20km family ride to the well-known 250km circuit so rest assured that you'll find the challenge you've been looking for.

20km Family Ride
Route: Alexandra Gardens - Elwood Park - Alexandra Gardens
Start: 9am

Bupa 50km
Route: Alexandra Gardens - Altona - Alexandra Gardens
Start: 8:25am

100km Frankston Return
Route: Alexandra Gardens - Frankston - Alexandra Gardens
Start: 7:30am

100km Sorrento
Route: Sorrento - Mordialloc - Alexandra Gardens
Start: 8am

SCODY 135km Ride
Route: Geelong - Queenscliff - Sorrento - Alexandra Gardens
Start: 6am

210km Anticlockwise
Route: Alexandra Gardens - Queenscliff - Sorrento - Alexandra Gardens
Start: 6am

210km Clockwise
Route: Alexandra Gardens - Sorrento - Queenscliff - Geelong - Alexandra Gardens
Start: 6am

210km Queenscliff Return
Route: Alexandra Gardens - Geelong - Queenscliff - Alexandra Gardens
Start: 6am

210km Sorrento Return
Route: Alexandra Gardens - Mordialloc - Sorrento - Alexandra Gardens

Some events may be sold out already, so make sure you check their website for more detailed information. Also, this means that you'd better get your act together and enter in Australia's biggest one day bike ride!

Enter online or over the phone by contacting Bicycle Network to secure your place. The cost of registration starts from $25 and every wonderful participant receives a fashionable official event jersey or rider shirt, a shiny finisher's medal and special sponsor offers as well as full support along your ride including rest stops with drinks, medical and mechanical support; mobile support teams and food. In addition, this is a timed ride with a controlled start.



Entry fees go towards developing better conditions for bike riders. Go the extra mile and start fundraising now to support The Smith Family in raising the much needed funds to support disadvantaged primary school children. 100% of the funds raised go directly towards The Smith Family's Learning for Life program.
