This is a great little thing to carry with you at all times as often we get stressed and need a little boost. There is nothing quite like Aromatherapy oils.
This portable little aromatherapy inhaler is great because you can carry it in your bag or keep it in your desk (keep an extra one in your car - it's great for road rage!) and use it whenever you need a lift.
Pour a teaspoon of coarse sea salt in a very small dark glass or PET plastic bottle and add one of the following blends:
Mood Lifter for Irritable Depression
10 drops Bergamot essential oil
5 drops Grapefruit
4 drops Sweet Orange
1 drop Geranium essential oil
1 drop Ylang Ylang essential oil
Comforting Blend for Grief-Related Depression
10 drops Rose Absolute or Rose
4 drops Neroli OR Petitgrain essential oil
Soothing Blend for Anxious Depression
8 drops Lavender essential oil
8 drops Grapefruit essential oil
2 drops Marjoram essential oil
1 drop Chamomile essential oil
1 drop geranium essential oil
4 ounces sweet almond oil
10 drops each Bergamot and petitgrain essential oils
3 drops rose geranium essential oil
1 drop neroli essential oil (expensive, so it's optional)
Combine ingredients. For children, replace petitgrain with Grapefruit or Tangerine.
To make a bath oil using this recipe, follow the same formula but use 2 ounces of almond oil instead of 4.
Antidepressant Smelling Salts
6 drops Antidepressant Fragrance, without almond oil (see above)
1 heaping teaspoon rock salt Drop the essential oil onto the salt. The salt will quickly absorb the oil. Carry smelling salts in a small container with a tight lid.
