I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.
Alongside the Parramatta River and close to Sydney Olympic Park the ArmoryWharf Cafe is a popular place to dine for lunch or weekend breakfasts. The menu has "all day breakfasts", lunch dishes from11:30am, sweet treats and a variety of well-priced kids meals. There are also daily blackboard specials.
Don't forget your table number when you order and pay at the counter and the table water is self-service. Alcoholic drinks can be purchased from 10am with glasses of wine from $7.50, beers $8, ciders, spirits and espresso martinis $10. The coffee was served quickly as it was a fairly quiet day. The serving sizes were more than ample if my corn and halloumi fritters and my friend's veggie plate were anything to go by.
In nice weather, it is lovely sitting outside in the dappled shade watching the Rivercat glide by whilst listening to the sounds of children having fun. Mind you on nice days in school holidays and on weekends it can be difficult to get a parking spot as the adjacent playground and BBQ area are very popular with families. The views are interesting even on a wet day and you can settle in and relax with your friends..
