The Armory Wharf Café is located in the suburb of Newington in the Blaxland Riverside Park, on the banks of the Parramatta River. The park is a popular destination for many families on weekends because of the picturesque scenery, bike hire and the walking tracks that are available.
The cafe is an ideal place to meet up with friends and family, on offer is a variety of dishes for everyone, both indoor and outdoor seating and an all round friendly and relaxing atmosphere. On the last occasion I dined there with my family we really enjoyed the dishes that were ordered.
On the last occasion I visited, I ordered Eggs Benedict, it was convenient that they served an all day breakfast as I had missed breakfast earlier in the morning, the eggs were served with double smoked ham and baby spinach on a toasted muffin. The eggs were cooked just right, the hollandaise sauce came in a separate pouring jug so you had the choice to have as little or as much of the sauce as you like. In my case, the more the merrier. I would be happy recommending the meal to anyone and would happily order it again.
Other dishes that were ordered by friends on the table were Fish and Chips, and Salt and Pepper Squid. I was told both dishes were tasty, but not being much of a seafood fan I've added some photos so you can make your own decision if whether the dishes look appetising or not.
I found the atmosphere to be open, warm and friendly. The service was a little unorganized at times with staff trying to find seats for customers who had made reservations and those who hadn't, however when our meals where ordered, they were served quickly and with a smile.
