A day of food of music, tours, workshops and more

Commemorate the Centenary of the Armistice – the historic agreement that ended the First World War – by attending the FREE Armistice Family Open Day at the Royal NSW Lancer Barracks.

On Sunday 11 November, City of Parramatta Council is presenting a special event which pays tribute to soldiers, sailors, nurses and citizens who made significant contributions to the war.

Held from 12pm, all are invited to come along and enjoy a day of food, music, tours, workshops, interactive displays & more.

Look forward to:

  • A FREE community lunch

  • Kids activities and workshops: dress up in Light Horse uniforms and write postcards from the "home front"

  • Face painting

  • Live music and entertainment

  • Armoured and military vehicle display

  • Spinning and knitting demonstration

  • Tour of the NSW Lancers Memorial Museum

  • An interactive display depicting the war effort on the home front
