Armageddon Cake Dessert Bar

When the world ends I want to be eating cake. And there is not a more fitting cake to eat than the evil brownie served with thick cream and raspberry sauce at Armageddon Cake.
Armageddon Cake is hidden in McLarty Place off Little Malop Street in central Geelong.
It's a unique concept, termed a dessert bar and is currently open only Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights between 8pm and 11pm.
Armageddon serves an assortment of hot and cold drinks including coffee, of course but also milkshakes, ice tea, chai latte and a good selection of teas by the pot as well as an ever-changing assortment of cakes. The cakes come with your choice of cream or ice-cream, chocolate ganache, raspberry or butterscotch sauce.
The décor of Armageddon Cake is kooky, a mixture of op shop pieces, nana's crockery and familiar items from childhood meaning that the eyes never rest long on one item before being drawn to another interesting artefact. The embellishments are great conversation starters but conversely, the cake, when it arrives tends to reduce conversation to nothing more than appreciative groans.
Desserts on the menu have included lemon meringue pie, red velvet cake, sticky date pudding and lemon crunch teacake. But my favourite by far is the rich, chocolaty and very aptly named evil brownie. It's a dessert that could stop the four horsemen of the apocalypse in their tracks.
