Autumn is in the air and it may well be the most exciting season for fashion lovers. September has brought on an onslaught of the crème de la crème of fall fashion: cozy knits, leather accents, and patterned tights are gracing the streets. This was apparent as I walked through the city this past week, which is why Aritzia has chosen the perfect time of year to make its way to our province.



After successfully winning over New York City's Fifth Avenue, the Canadian women's retailer arrives in Montreal. Up until now, the brand's aficionados were constrained to shopping online. Opening its doors last week in three Quebec locations, Carrefour Laval, Fairview Pointe Claire, and the Eaton Centre, the clothing store has since been filled with trendsetters eager to shop.

The downtown location is reminiscent of a posh New York loft, decorated with black and white walls, wood paneled accents, and clean finishings. Sophisticated and trendy, like the clothes themselves, the spacious, lounge-like design is as alluring as the apparel. One of the most striking elements is the seating area opposite the changing rooms comprised of black seats and a coffee table on a purple rug near an arrangement of greenery.



Offering quality, fashionable clothing, the Vancouver-based chain has opened over 50 locations in the past 29 years. Apart from selling their own collection and popular labels, they also carry exclusive brands like Wilfred, TNA, Talula, and La Notte, to name a few.

This season's collection boasts swoon-worthy items like knit sweaters, wool coats, leather jackets, black and white graphic tees, crisp blouses, structured handbags, as well as oxblood, cream, and grey winter accessories. For day or night, Aritzia's pieces are edgy yet feminine, all while being effortlessly stylish.
