Aria Natural Therapy is a little hidden massage parlour and wellbeing oasis in the heart of the CBD. One of the best places I have found to go to if you want professional massage services by qualified massage therapists.

Brisbane's city centre is dominated by massage parlours that use mostly students and backpackers. They put them through a quick course and then unleash them on the customers. In addition often the location is in a busy street or shopping mall, and the massage parlous itself is made up of many small alcoves, so that the massage location is noisy and cramped, making it difficult to relax.

However if you search around there are a number of massage parlours, usually in upstairs locations, that provide professional massage in a private setting. Aria Natural Therapy is one great example of this.

Located on George Street opposite the casino, to get to this location you have to first go up the stairs and through the hair dressing salon and then further up the stairs to the massage parlour itself. Despite the out of the way location, it is often busy, so it is best to call and make an appointment.

Noriko, the parlour's owner, explains her philosophy was to create an garden oasis in the city where people can come to relax away from the typical, messy, crowded and busy office environment.

Aria Natural Therapy employs only professionally qualified massage therapists. It is interesting that in the city parlours that employ qualified therapists and provide private rooms charge the same amount as those employing backpackers in crowded locations, so why would you not go to a qualified massage therapist?

Obviously you can go and have a stress relief relaxation massage here. Check out their specials for quick head massages, it's a popular lunch time service.

Their focus though is on remedial massage. Whenever a new customer comes in, they do a complete and professional consultation service, making records of your problems over repeat visits. They have a "...focus on treating individual needs as effectively as possible."

My friends have gone here with arm or back pain and had their problems professionally dealt with. For myself, I went there for a quick head and shoulder massage before heading back to work feeling refreshed and relaxed.

As already said, it is not just a clinical process though, but there is a strong emphasis put on the concept of wellbeing and relaxation. Other popular treatments include Thai Herbal Ball massage, as well as a pamper massage that includes a foot bath and facial mask.

If you are still in doubt, a first time visit only cost $49 for an hour's consultation and massage.
