Argus House are best known for their gourmet pies, winning the
2010 'Great Pie Off' in Adelaide Hills Magazine . Try a fresh baked pie in one of these delicious flavours: lamb rogan josh, chunky steak and mushroom, or lentil and sweet potato among many others.
The connecting shop will be any child's dream. Children's toys galore line the shelves along with books and games. As well as stuff to keep your children occupied the Argus House shop has a range of handmade items. These include some delicious smelling soaps and hand crafted clothing and accessories.
Argus House is a lovely place to grab a bite to eat in a gorgeous historial building. Head down there next time you're in the area, and treat yourself to some of their delicious food. While you're there check out some of Strathalbyn's history and view photographs as old as the 1800s.
The Café is open from 8am till 5pm and the shop is open from 9am to 5pm, 7 days a week.
