For me, the foundation of a good weekend is at least one good brunch, and Argo on the Parade is a perfect place for that Sunday morning post-party-debrief. Particularly on warmer days, a nice big breakfast in their recently re-vamped outdoor area is an excellent way to start the day. There is also a very comfortable indoor area. This can get a little noisy at times however, the food and drinks more than make up for any short-falls.

While the coffee fanatics and tea gurus will find enough blends to satisfy even the most fastidious among them, one of the highlights of breakfast at Argo has to be the juice and smoothies. They are all squeezed and blended fresh into delicious combinations. My current favourite is Summer Days; a lovely blend of watermelon, pineapple and strawberry juices.

When it comes to a Sunday breakfast or brunch at Argo, I'm usually quite keen on downing an Argo Big Brekky to wash away the Saturday night overindulgence. However, this week I fancied a change and ordered a Salmon Brioche; two perfectly poached eggs on brioche with smoked salmon and hollandaise with a baby spinach and Spanish onion salad. It managed to fill the gaping hole in my stomach without leaving me wishing I hadn't had that last mouthful.
