are you bug curious

Have you ever thought of eating insects for food? Should bugs be a serious part of our conversation about future foods? Research is showing that eating insects is something we are to consider in order to manage growing population and increasing natural resource demands.

If this has made you just a tiny bit more curious, then head to the Open State website to register for the event which will be held on Monday the 2nd of October 2017 at the Open State Dome in Victoria Square in the city.

You will have the opportunity to learn about the benefits of eating insects, how they are commercially farmed and meet some passionate bug eaters, farmers and enthusiasts. You can also sample a range of insects if you are brave enough. And plenty of kids activities will be on offer too.
