UK mathrock crew return to Sydney for another go
UK metal-core crew Architects are returning to Sydney in April, as part of an eight-date, Australia-wide tour in support of their latest record Lost Forever // Lost Together.
It's not the first time that the noisy British fivesome have showcased the record on Australian soil – last September, they played small, ad-hoc dates in Sydney and Melbourne – but this April marks their first full-scale return to Australia since 2010.

On April 16th, the boys are scheduled to appear at Sydney's Roundhouse venue, with US post-hardcore outfits Being As An Ocean, and Stick to Your Guns in tow. Being As an Ocean have been relentlessly playing shows across the globe, following the release of their sophomore LP How We Both Wonderously Perish in 2014, and this is the second time the band have toured Australia in just under a year.
Hailing from the musical hotbed of Brighton on England's south coast, Architects burst onto the scene with Nightmares in 2006, an eight-track record released by Nottingham metal label, In at the Deep End. Their latest record, recorded with the punk heavyweights at Epitaph Records, is their most successful to date, peaking at number 13 in the Australian charts.
This year sees the swearing in of a new member of the Architects tribe, rhythm guitarist Adam Christianson, who fills the hole left by Tim Hillier-Brook's departure in late 2012. Back to a five-piece after a couple of years as a foursome, the boys are ready to lay waste to Australian audiences once again.
There will be some home-grown talent on show that night as well. Opening act, Stories, are Sydney natives, and are preparing to release their debut album in March 2015, so get to the show nice and early to show them your support.
