The Australian Red Cross is holding a free community event, Architects of Social Bridges, at the Fitzroy Town Hall on Thursday, 15 September 2016 from 5:45 pm to 8:00 pm to celebrate Australia's cultural diversity and to inspire new and better ways of understanding and appreciating our nation's multicultural heritage.

Medical anthropologist, Dr Gregory Phillips, of the Waanyi and Jaru Aboriginal people
Shabnam Safa, co-founder of the Noor Foundation, and
Sherene Hassan, director of the Islamic Museum of Australia.
During the event, be one of the first to see the official launch of a short film resource featuring the stories of people finding safety, refuge and/or asylum in Australia all whilst enjoying the international canapés served by the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.
The evening aims to encourage and create a more supportive and inclusive community for all those seeking a safer existence. So why not learn more about the many different people that have chosen to call Australia home?
Support the Australian Red Cross by attending and be a part of the conversation on building and improving the community we live in.
