I am always looking out for new experiences, wherever I may find myself.

Beside the post office on Coonanbarra Road in Wahroonga is the Archdale Walkway. I always thought the path just lead to the opposite side of the block (which it does, I guess) but it turns out that the other end passes through a park; Archdale Park.

Not the kind of pathway I was expecting

Over there, off Neringah Avenue South, the curves of the path have been filled with grassy nooks and gardens, making up a narrow but quite beautiful space.

The park has been very well designed for such a small space

There are lots (and lots) of chairs here (in fact the main reason to visit is to sit down and relax).

Not the worst place to relax with a book

There's also a sheltered table.

For when you want to sped a while here

It's so surrounded by buildings that for a long time I ever noticed the park, but inside, the hedges, trees and gardens block out many of these residences. It actually feels quite private, other than the resident rabbits and brush turkeys (that's a turkey at the end of the path in the first picture).
