Sat 26 Jan 2019 - Sun 27 Jan 2019

For the game players out there, and I know we number in the many thousands upon thousands, this event was invented just for you!

It will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on the Australia Day long weekend - Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th January 2019, from 11 am to 11 pm each day. Arcanacon will be one of Australia's biggest dedicated tabletop roleplaying conventions. It's a two-day game convention, which will feature role-playing, industry panels, board games and a giant regency LARP. With over 30 tables on the go at any one time, there's sure to be a game for everyone, from favourites like D&D to new indie games which will be premiering at the convention.

Arcanacon is a not-for-profit convention for everyone who enjoys playing RPGs. It will also be for beginners, so if you are new to role-playing games or are interested in learning more about them, this is also for you!

Come and spend two days roleplaying, listening to panels and hanging out with industry professionals and friends.

Video games have infiltrated many daily lives right around the world on computers, consoles and pocket devices. There has been much psychological research into the impact of these types of games upon players and all this was initiated some fifteen years ago. However, these can provide hours of fun and entertainment for so many millions of people and this convention will put you in touch with like-minded people.

At the , some of the 8 different games that you can join in here include:

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS
Merric Blackman will be providing a whole lot of Adventurer League Games for beginners to D&D and also experienced players. You can either bring your own Adventurer League character or take one of Merric's characters which he has prepared.

CALL OF CTHULHU**
In this popular game, there will be three intriguing and frightening new scenarios for you to play! Two scenarios are sourced from Mark Morrison's award-winning Reign of Terror. The third scenario has been written by Penny Love and is set in the tropical paradise of Samoa.

Call of Cthulhu, is the official Cthulhu video game which was inspired by Chaosium's classic pen and paper RPG. In this game, there are mysteries to work out and investigate and you will go deep into a world of cosmic horrors, creeping madness, and shrouded Old Gods within Lovecraft's iconic universe.

The Cthulhu Mythos has been fascinating audiences for generations, and it is growing to become one of the largest shared universes ever imagined. It has also given rise to many stories, novels, movies, tabletop and video games since the original publication of H.P. Lovecraft's The Call of Cthulhu. In this game, there is a fear of the human psyche - that of the unknown.

If you are not familiar with this game, you can read more about it here.

GOOD SOCIETY**
Good Society is a shared tabletop roleplaying game that captures the heart and the countenance of the popular writer, Jane Austen's work. This is a new game from the Storybrewers team, Hayley and Vee, and this will be on Saturday at 5 pm.
