Sat 03 Feb 2018 - Sun 04 Feb 2018

will be on again in February, 2018. Formerly run as the Chilli & Avo Festival, this year, it will be two separate events to tie in with their seasons, starting with .

Visit the Araluen Plant Stall to pick up some of the best [i][b]hot%%** plants in WA and you will get the opportunity to learn a few tips from the horticulturalists who will be at this festival.

The festival will have on offer an abundance of chilli products from sauces to beers, doughnuts and chutneys, as well as boutique chilli beers, steamin' cocktails, spicy wines and other beverages to quench the heat!

There will also be live music and entertainment for the children as well as celebrity chef Vince Garreffa (from Mondo Meats) who will be showing you how to add some "spice to your life" at home.

Visit Araluen's Forest Deck for hot tunes and cold bevvies from Boutique Breweries.

Children under 18 are FREE, but they must be accompanied by an adult, and tickets are now on sale (online only). As numbers are limited, make sure you go to this site to book your place for this festival.

If you like a bit of spice in your life, then this is the place you want to be in February!

Even if you don't like chilli, do come along to this event as it will be a whole lot of fun, and there will be vendors selling all sorts of goodies for you to take home as well as eat there.

Come to this event and see the true meaning of the word "chilli" and find out why this is so popular around the world, and see what unusual things can be made with this hot little number!

You can wander through the Araluen Village to experience a taste of the Perth Hills, and purchase some of the best local produce from the Hills Orchard Improvement Group or this time you will be able to purchase Araluen's Tulip Bulbs to create your own Springtime Garden at home.

Araluen tulips are, of course, so well known, as each year they open the gardens and you can see the exquisite display of rows and rows of colourful tulips - if you have never seen this, it is well worth going to, and is totally awesome and stunning!

The festival is one of Araluen's biggest fundraisers and as a not-for-profit organisation, all funds raised from the festival go back into improving and maintaining the park for the public to use and enjoy.

There will be several stages with Perth's best talents to keep you entertained as well as kids activities and roving entertainment to keep the little ones busy.

On the gardening stage, there will be horticulturalists providing you with the expert knowledge you need to grow your own chilli orchard at home – and you can purchase your trees/plants on the way out.

[b]ABOUT ARALUEN**
Australian businessman, politician and founder of the Young Australia League, J.J. "Boss" Simons, established a holiday camp for this youth organisation in 1929.

He chose 59 hectares of shaded-valley in Roleystone as the site for his camp and the area had creeks running through the long valley which in turn created a cool moist climate, making it the ideal site for his "dream garden".

Simons called his valley Araluen, which is an Aboriginal word meaning "singing waters," "running waters" or "place of lilies." The pathways were then created by volunteers as well as steps and roads. The buildings were built from local stone and timber.

Since 2010, responsibility for this Park has been transferred to the Department of Parks & Wildlife (DPaW), and they are now directly responsible for the bush-land areas of the park, while the foundation is "contracted to provide management services for the 14 hectares of developed gardens".

Don't miss Perth's hottest festival of 2018 at this delightful spot!

As mentioned, this event was previously held with the "Avo" festival, however, this year, organisers have made them two separate events, and the "Avo" Festival will be held in November 2018.
