Ten Aquatic Centres and Pools on the Sunshine Coast

Whether you are looking to increase your fitness levels or looking for some water fun, the Sunshine Coast Council's Aquatic Centres offer a variety of programs for all ages. Programs and facilities range from lap swimming, to learn-to-swim, to play pools and gymnasiums. Not to be confused with community pools that are also located throughout the Sunshine Coast and operated by local community groups, Aquatic Centres and Pools are operated by the Sunshine Coast Council.

The Caloundra Aquatic Centre is managed by City Venue Management and offers a flexible aquatic and dry land activities program.

The Kawana Aquatic Centre is managed by City Venue Management and features a variety of pools, children's play areas, and a dedicated learn-to-swim facility with an all-abilities access hoist. Kawana Aquatic Centre has five heated swimming pools. Surrounded by stunning gardens and seating areas, the Kawana Aquatic Centre is your all-year-round swimming destination.



Features include:

🏊 KINGS BEACH OCEAN POOL (aka the Sir Francis Nicklin Memorial Pool)
36 Esplanade, Kings Beach, Caloundra - located on the rocks at the northern end of Kings Beach
Ocean pool is open all year round, unlocked 4.30am and locked at 9.00pm
Fountain is open all year round, 8.00am to 5.00pm



Features of the Kings Beach Ocean Pool include:

The Kings Beach Pool and fountain is cleaned twice a week, every Monday and Thursday from 4.30pm. Cleaning times may vary during public holiday periods.

The Nambour Aquatic Centre is managed by Belgravia Leisure and specialises in:

Facilities include:



Sunshine Coast Council, in partnership with Belgravia Leisure and the Queensland Government's Work's for Queensland program have delivered the new Splash Park at the Nambour Aquatic Centre. The $3.26 million investment includes a children's zero-depth and fully accessible splash pad and two adventure slides, along with the recently added 44 car parking spaces.
