Fancy feeding some fish in the sea? Then head down to Aquascene when visiting Darwin for some fishy fun that's perfect for families and adults of all ages.

Feeding the fish is very hands-on as you grab slices of bread and stand ankle-deep in the waters. Expect a tickling feeling of the feet as the mainly mullet brush up against you… and don't worry they have no teeth!

The guides are very hands-on giving an informative commentary on what is in the water including mullet, catfish, milk fish and the intriguingly named 'Mother in Law' fish with its distinctive white lips.

Feeding is dependent on tide times so call Aquascene or check their website when they are open. It is a great value attraction with adults just $15 and family and concession rates.
There are interesting information boards around the site telling of the fascinating heritage of Doctors Gully.

Aquascene is located at Doctors Gully just a few minutes' drive from the Darwin CBD or 20-30 minutes' walk through the pleasant tree line Bicentennial Park along the Esplanade. It can be reached via a short walk from one of the stops on the Big Bus Darwin Hop-On, Hop-Off Bus Tour. Read more.
