Perfect Holiday Destination
Aqualuna Beach Resort is located a few minutes drive from Coffs Harbour town centre and is the perfect family destination, whether you are escaping for a weekend or a holiday.
On a recent trip, we booked to stay for two nights, although I wish we had stayed longer. As soon as we arrived we were warmly greeted by the staff, but what really took my breath away was the view from the reception. And things only got better - our 2 bedroom apartment had every convenience possible and the same spectacular view.
The resort features 93 spacious and beautifully appointed 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments, each with open plan living room and a private balcony. Most apartments feature a spa, air conditioning, separate dining room and lounge, self-contained kitchen with dishwasher and microwave and there is even a laundry with washer, dryer, iron and ironing board. You also have access to in house movies and cable television, room service, complimentary car parking, wireless broadband and tea & coffee making facilities.
Aqualuna Beach Resort has a number of excellent facilities including a restaurant and a bar, which serves contemporary Australian cuisine, double swimming pool, children's wading pool, gymnasium, tennis court, barbeque area with an undercover outdoor eating area, games room including pool and table tennis table as well as a sunbathing pool deck. Or for a big of exercise head down to the beach front for a jog, walk or a swim.
Coffs Harbour offers many great attractions, including the Big Banana, where you can go ice skating, sliding or tobogganing. Also watch how hard candy is made or take a picture with the big banana.
Children will love visiting Dolphin Marine Magic, also known as Pet Porpoise Pool, where they can interact with dolphins, seals, penguins and fish. Every day the park runs two marine magic presentations, where guests are given the opportunity to get involved in the dolphin and seal show and prior to each show you can even get kissed by a dolphin.
For another awesome experience, head down to Boambee Beach for an amazing camel ride with Coffs Coast Camels. Accompanied by their guide, the camels will take you on a gentle 30 minute stroll along the beach.
And for something different, visit is the Clog Barn, which features a Model Dutch Village that teaches visitors about life in Holland many years ago. See working windmills, replicas of famous Dutch buildings and a working miniature railway.
Coffs Harbour is approximately 5 hours drive north from Sydney and offers coastal living at its best, so if you are planning a holiday, add this to your shortlist.
