We then travelled to the Broadwater, where the Aquaduck transformed from a bus into a boat. The transition from land to water is seamless, and it's amazing to see how this amphibious vehicle adapts to its environment.
There were lots of opportunities to take photos and memories from the tour, with kids on board all getting a go at driving the Aquaduck and getting awarded their own 'Aquaduck Captain' certificate for their efforts.
If you love collecting souvenirs from your adventures, the guides offer captain's hats, plush ducks, and other quacking gifts to purchase on board. As we disembarked from the tour, the guides also gave us free stickers and a discount card for other Aquaduck tours.
What to bring
The Aquaduck is a comfortable ride, with plenty of seating and shade. Regardless, bring sunscreen and a hat – it's Queensland, after all!
The tour is suitable for all ages and was a wonderful way to see the Gold Coast for the first time or to rediscover the city if you're a local.
Keep in mind this tour is quite popular, so it's a good idea to book in advance to avoid disappointment. There are multiple departure times throughout the day, so you should be able to find a time that works for you.
You can book online from the Aquaduck website, in person at their shopfront or give them a call at (07) 5539 0222.
