Aqua aerobics is a fun, active way to start the weekend
Aqua aerobics is a great form of low impact exercise that is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. North Sydney Olympic Pool, located on the beautiful Sydney Harbour foreshore, offers three different aqua aerobics classes that are currently run over 15 times a week.
Aqua aerobics classes at North Sydney Olympic Pool combine different elements of cardiovascular, muscle toning, flexibility, conditioning and resistance training. Unlike fitness classes on land, you don't have to worry about missing a step or getting something wrong, no one can see what you're doing under the water!
I started attending aqua classes while recovering from a neck injury. Not only has aqua aerobics helped with my recovery, but I've also found it to be a really fun way of exercising. Instructors are friendly, encouraging and enthusiastic. Not to mention the location. North Sydney Olympic Pool is perhaps Sydney's most iconic pool. It opened in 1936 and is drenched in history and art deco features. It's a Sydney landmark in its own right, but also enjoys being nestled in between two other prominent landmarks, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Luna Park. You've got to love the view from the class and being directed by the instructor to face either the Bridge or Luna Park.
