If you're wondering if there is anything exciting happening these school holidays in Canberra, then rest assured, your kids won't be bored! Keep reading for just a small taste of what's on these school holidays. Many of the events you need to book in early, so grab your calendar and start planning!

Tuff Nutterz outdoor inflatable obstacle course will be back in the Parliamentary Triangle these school holidays between 7th - 23rd April! The obstacle course measures almost 300 metres in length, with 30 fun and challenging obstacles to complete including huge slides, climbing walls, hanging rails, balance balls and more. There are 4 sessions per day and tickets can be purchased at the event, although they strongly suggest booking online to avoid disappointment. Book early for discounts! See here for details.

Canberra Miniature Railway Night Train Rides & Easter Egg Hunts will be held on 8th & 9th April! Rides run between 5pm and 8pm so start in the daylight and end in the dark under lights. There will also be 2 Easter egg hunts at 5:30pm and 6:30pm each day, with 4000 Easter eggs to find! See here for details.

The National Folk Festival is held every Easter long weekend at the EPIC (Exhibition Park in Canberra). Children of all ages are welcome and all children aged under 16 are required to be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. See here for details.

The Canberra Theatre Centre will be showing Showmen - The Ultimate Magic Spectacular on Saturday, 15th April for adults, teens and children aged 7 years and up. Enjoy live magic, illusions and stunts with a supergroup of conjurers, tricksters, comedians, illusionists, daredevils, dancers and more! There will be shows at 2pm and 6:45pm. See here for details.

The Canberra Picnic Train will be running over the Easter long weekend, with trips from Canberra to Bungendore and back. This is a fun experience for the whole family! See here for details and here for a full article on this event.

The National Arboretum will be having a school holiday activity with a special quest and fairy hunt through the Cork Oak Forest on the 18th and 19th April. This event is suitable for ages 4 - 8 and costs $15 per child. See here for details.

Manuka Oval will be having AFL Giants versus Lions playing on Saturday, 22nd April. Children under 4 years are entitled to enter the ground at no charge and must be seated on the lap of an accompanying adult. See here for details.

Pinot & Picasso in Belconnen will be running fun art classes for kids at a cost of $39 for 1.5 hours. Paint butterflies, donuts, castles, pandas, rockets and more. Get creative and make new friends! See here for what's on.

The Canberra Circus Festival will be held at Chifley Community Oval with circus shows in the May Wirth Big Top, outdoor performances, street artists, roving performers, workshops, food and markets. Kids can also learn circus tricks at the school holiday workshop with Warehouse Circus! See here for details.

The National Zoo and Aquarium will be hosting a school holiday program called Zoocation, where children can spend the day at the zoo learning about the animals and having fun! The cost is $95 per child. See here for details.

The National Portrait Gallery will be running Portrait Play again these school holidays, where children are shown different artworks and then do a craft activity, inspired by a portrait. The National Archives of Australia will be having school holiday art workshops with crafts in relation to their new exhibition, Disrupt, Persist, Invent, for children aged 6-12, at a cost of $5. See here for details.

The Australian National Botanical Gardens will be having a Storytime in the Gardens on Friday, 21st April, at a cost of $5 per child. See here for details. They will also be having Bush Animal Weaving Workshops where you and your child can get creative and learn about Aboriginal culture and traditional weaving. See here for details.
