The April school holiday is a time to take advantage of what is left of the warm weather before winter takes hold. As we already know, Mother Nature can be temperamental this time of year, so here is a selection of outdoor and indoor activities to keep kids (and the young at heart) amused over the next few weeks.
• Holiday Fun at Cleland Wildlife Park
[ADVERT]Cuddle koalas, feed kangaroos and observe native animals at Cleland Wildlife Park. During the school holiday, there are activities such as a discovery trail, wildlife show, games and presentations.

• Paws on the Shore Paws on the Shore is a great day out for the whole family. After the community dog walk along Moana Beach, there are activities, entertainment and demonstrations at Nashwauk Reserve.

Stock up for your own movie marathon. There are some great new movies available during the school holiday such as Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days (available now), Jock (available now), Rise of the Guardians (April 10), Parental Guidance and Wreck-It Ralph (April 24).

• SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre Holiday Care
Holiday Care at the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre is a full day of activities including cooking classes, aquatic games, arts and crafts, waterslides, aqua volleyball and much more.
When: Wednesday April 17, Friday April 19, Monday April 22 & Tuesday April 23, 8.30am-5.30pm

• Adelaide Planetarium School Holiday Program
Learn about the night sky and enjoy a movie in the dome at the Adelaide Planetarium. Choose from Tycho to the Moon or the Wildest Weather in the Solar System.
When: Weekdays during the school holiday, 10am or 12pm

• Youth & Children's Activities at Leafy Sea Dragon Festival
Take a trip to Yankalilla for the Leafy Sea Dragon Festival where there are free kid's events such as Archer's Arcadia, Amazing Drumming Monkeys and some fun workshops.

• Waffles at Bracegirdle's at 190
For a special treat, have lunch at Bracegirdle's at 190. The food is delicious and the Belgian waffle I have crowned the best in Adelaide. While you're in McLaren Vale, check out the playground and war memorial at Gemmel Tassie Reserve.

• Animal Expo at Adelaide Showground
See creatures great and small with Dr Harry Brown at the Adelaide Showground. A ticket to the Animal Expo allows entry to the Sunday Mail Home Living Expo and the April Gift & Craft Fair.
