Applied Mindfulness in Daily Life lectures are part of a series of talks on Buddhism targeted at applying mindfulness in daily life proven to improve health, wellbeing, work productivity, relationships and mental health. The talks are underpinned by the unique aspects of Buddhist philosophy to integrate mindfulness practices in everyday living.

Associate Professor Leigh Wilson from the Nan Tien Institute will be explaining a few easy mindfulness techniques and strategies for everyday life. These techniques are applicable to a wide cross section of people and offer assistance with all aspects of daily life.

The main focus of the talks is Suicide, a serious issue affecting all individuals across NSW. 18,000 people are estimated to die over the next 20 years from suicide. The main group affected are youth in the 15 to 24 year age group.
