Comedians Dan and Justin cleverly weave a heartfelt love story, an underlying threat of a 1984-esque mind control organisation, plot twists and hilarious call backs into this fun and frenetic 50 minute show.

While scenes quickly switch between different characters, each with their own sub-plot, the overarching story develops seamlessly. The news host characters set the scene. It's the 10th ApocOlympics and the world is struggling with basic necessities for survival but the people need their heroes and they need something to hope for.

The Olympics in this post-apocalyptic world sees events like the marathon replaced by the 100m moonwalk and instead of gold medals, winners receive the highly valued prize of purified water.

Follow ApocOlympic hopefuls, Branklin and Stevus, through their individual pursuits of glory in their respective events of 'What's in the Box?' and "Greg'.

Come behind the scenes of the Games through the eyes of the foreman overseeing the questionable construction of the 60,000 seat stadium and the building experts as they watch on in utter frustration.

You quickly forget about the mouth-watering smell of BBQ cooking in the background at the venue of Fancy Hank's restaurant and the tarpaulin covering the open windows of the performance space, as Dan and Justin transport the audience to this fictional post-apocalyptic world.

If you miss this show, it might be the end of the world. Well, not really, but it is a funny and enjoyable show from start to finish and I recommend you check it out before its run ends on Sunday.
