, is bounded by Sturgeon Road and Starkey Street, and is another family friendly recreational facility in the Redlands. Popular with locals this park is also worthwhile visiting if you are travelling from Brisbane or from the outer suburbs for a day of tourist-playing by the beautiful Moreton Bay as it caters for all ages.

Firstly, the Gum and Paperbark trees make this open space aesthetically pleasing as well as shady.



The playground equipment is plentiful and caters for toddlers and older children and includes a Flying Fox and other climbing paraphernalia. How cool is this!



There is a basketball ring for those who like to practise their hoops, and an expansive grassy area for team ball games. Very popular with the young teens are the dirt mounds for BMX enthusiasts.



While the youngsters are off wearing themselves out, the more docile can sit under a covered picnic table and relax with a coffee or a book. Or perhaps not. There are also gas barbecues if a steak sandwich is on the menu for lunch.



Walking tracks abound, some well-worn dirt paths and others paved, as this open space connects with the ever popular Fellmonger Park which is renowned for spotting koalas and water fowl.

If walking lunch off appeals follow the concrete path east towards Cleveland and which will take you under Sturgeon Road and around a portion of Hilliards Creek. The vegetation here provides a home to a myriad of bird and wildlife, and you would be surprised by the number of fishermen enjoying the waterways.



Dogs are welcome if they remain on the leash, and courtesy bags are provided by the local council. Parking along Starkey Street is recommended.
