Awesome park for families with young children
Apex Park is located near Mona Vale Beach on Sydney's northern beaches and is perfect for families with younger children. The park has great playground equipment, a bike track, where kids can ride their bikes, scooters or roller skates and large grass areas, suitable for cricket and ball games.

The park features great facilities including electric BBQs, picnic shelters and a convenient café, making it a popular picnic and BBQ spot, especially on the weekends and during summer.

The covered playground is lots of fun for young children with spring rockers, spica poles and a climbing structure.

There is plenty of street parking and paid parking is also available at a car park next to Mona Vale beach. Toilets are located on the beach reserve and in the surf club building and are open dawn to dusk each day.

Apex Park is suitable not only for picnics but also birthday parties, wedding ceremonies, Christmas parties and other social functions.

If you wish to take a dip, then walk across the road to Mona Vale beach, which is patrolled by surf life savers during daylight hours from the September school holidays until the Anzac Day weekend. Kids can safely swim in the rockpool or watch crabs and other sea creatures as they explore the rocks.

For coffee, snacks or lunch head over to Mona Vale Beach Café located at 9 Darley Street East, Mona Vale.

If you can, leave your kids with hubby and pop into Armchair Collective for a look at their beautiful homewares and also grab yourself one of their chocolate brownies (also their iced coffees/iced chocolates, served in old glass milk bottles are pretty delicious). Armchair Collective is located on Darley Road opposite this park.
