A small but feature-packed park overlooking the Gold Coast
Apex Park, overlooking Snapper Rocks and Rainbow Bay, is a small recreational park that provides an ideal base for families wanting to spend a day at the beach on the Gold Coast.

Apex Park is dominated by a gently sloping lawned area, ideal for kids to play on, that leads to the top of a small headland to provide views across the Gold Coast. Looking to the north, visitors are able to see right across Rainbow Bay, beyond Burleigh Heads, to the iconic waterfront towers of Surfers Paradise.

To the east, this headland provides views across Snapper Rocks to the ocean. This is an area frequented by dolphins all year round, and by whales on their annual migration between June and October.

The coastal pathway extends to the north, taking visitors up to Point Danger with its even higher lookout and parklands.

Despite its small size, Apex Park provides visitors with a surprising array of facilities. These include picnic tables, electric BBQs, a carpark, and a public amenities block with toilets and cold beach showers with individual cubicles at the beginning of the path down to Rainbow Bay's patrolled surf and swimming beach.

In all, Apex Park may be small, but packs a punch in terms of its fabulous location above one of the Gold Coast's most popular swimming and surf beaches, and its surprising array of facilities. As a result, Apex Park is definitely one for families to put on their "to-do" list when visiting the Gold Coast.
