The history of South Australian Founding is my passion, Adelaide City and the surrounding landscape and towns is the setting for the adventure, more on weekend notes no doubt!
Published October 15th 2012
The outback town of Copley played host to eighty slightly modified Australia Post motor bikes; a larger tank here, some more rugged tyres there, but one thing these Apex crew agree is the reliability of the Australia Post Honda. "They just don't break!" said one photographed enthusiast outside the famous Quandong Bush Bakery and Copley Retail strip.

It is said the Honda factory that makes these fabulous machines; regears for a whole day to satisfy Australia Post requirements, Japan stops and restarts to make sure you get your postage on time from our famous posties.

Proceeds from the rally and bush test is set to raise a small fortune for the kids afflicted with cancer, but when I asked the obvious question - 'Can I give you a letter to post?' - my request was met with laughter and I left these enthusiasts to refuel in more ways than one.

Thanks for stopping at Copley and see you all again next year. Hopefully I will have my post bike by then and I can join you.

You can still donate to this cause here.
