Walking along Glenferrie Road, it is easy and also forgivable to walk straight past Aoba with its humble and small space. For those who see past the humble interior, will find that what Aoba lacks in sparkle, it more than makes up for in the delicious food on offer, and not to mention the Green Tea.
Some of the delicious items on the Aoba menu include the Chicken Teriyaki, Karage, Sushi, Tuna Sashimi, Gyoza and of course, the amazing sounding Bento Boxes. With such a large amount of delicious sounding food on offer, it was particularly hard to decide what to order. So I was relieved when my friend suggested that we share the Aoba Big Plate, as it included so many of the items on offer.
And the Big Plate did not disappoint either of us, it provided a range of pieces that were all simply divine. Although, it was a big plate. we both found ourselves wanting just a little more after we finished, so my friend got the ice cream and I got a serve of the Takoyaki balls. As expected, they were the perfect end to a great dinner in a cosy little restaurant!
