The Hellenic Club Sydney has brought over nine Evzones, the soldiers of the Greek Presidential Guard, to commemorate the roles of the soldiers of Greece and Crete (known as the 'forgotten ANZACs')

The Evzones will arrive in Sydney on April 24 and join the Hellenic Club's inaugural Anzac Day lunch at Beta Bar & Gallery, where they will also be joined by guest speaker Glenda Humes, the eldest daughter of Captain Reginald Saunders MBE, the Australian Army's first Aboriginal Officer. The Evzones will join the Allied Forces for the Anzac Day March, and form a Guard of Honour at the Martin Place Cenotaph from 1-2pm on April 28 and 29.
