Anzac Park

Home > Brisbane > Parks
Published March 22nd 2011

Families, children and beloved pets will all find something to like about this inner-city park.

Anzac Park is located in Toowong, across the road from the Toowong Bus Depot on Dean Street. The fully equipped playground provides a range of activities to suit the entire family.
The grounds are spacious and shady, with several shady trees to rest under and manmade shelters. Picnic tables and barbeque facilities, located throughout the park, allow families to enjoy lunch in the park. There are also toilet facilities (including a disabled toilet) and taps and drinking fountains.

The duck pond is popular with families and children alike. The pond is home to a family of tame ducks who love to take bread from visitors. The pond is unfenced, so keep an eye on little ones around the edge.

Of course, the main attraction here is the playground. The children's play area has been designed with an Australian farmstead theme. Children can get behind the wheel of an old fashioned automobile or enjoy the Australian farmstead home, with its secret intercom system. There are also swings, two slides, a see saw and a flying fox. The play equipment is decorated with images of Australian animals.

Your four legged friend can take advantage of the fenced, off leash dog park. The obstacle course gives man's best friend a chance to play as well.
