Due to the overwhelming popularity of last year's inaugural event, organisers this year have stepped it up a notch to cater for an even bigger audience. This year's concert will be streamed live on the big screen at the Rainforest Green grassed area next to the Piazza. So, if you don't arrive early enough to secure a seat in the Piazza, you can spread your picnic blanket out on the Green and enjoy the music with the entire family.

The event is also part of the 2014 RSL ANZAC Appeal, an important appeal that raises money for pensions, advocacy and welfare services for current and ex-serving Australian Defence Force personnel and their families. For whilst it is of utmost importance to remember those that have fallen, it is of vital importance that we don't forget those that are still serving, or have returned and are living with the aftermath of war.
RSL (Queensland Branch) CEO Chris McHugh CSC said, "It is important that we unite to remember the sacrifices made for our freedom, particularly as we mark the ANZAC Centenary - 100 years since our nation's involvement in the First World War."
This year's programme is not to be missed, featuring performances by legendary Australian soprano Lisa Gasteen along with stirring and inspiring renditions of The Armed Man, A Mass for Peace and Songs of Sanctuary by Karl Jenkins, Fauré's Requiem and music by Sibelius, Tchaikovsky and more.

Over 3000 people attended last year's concert and with the exceptional line up of musicians this year, it will be a concert to remember.
The concert begins at 6:30pm and will continue until 8:00pm. Please remember if you plan to sit on the grass, no chairs are allowed but picnic blankets are most welcome.
All donations support the RSL's vital welfare, health and social services for Australian Defence personnel, veterans and their families.
