A musical tribute
Following the success of last year's Anzac Eve Concert at South Bank's Suncorp Piazza, the 2013 Anzac Eve Concert will move to a bigger venue - the Great Hall at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Presented by the Queensland Symphony Orchestra (QSO) and RSL (Queensland Branch), this free, community concert takes place on Wednesday, April 24 from 6:30pm to 8pm.

The annual Anzac Eve Concert pays tribute to veterans and service men and women who have served and lost their lives, in past and present wars. Directed by the renowned Australian conductor, Benjamin Northey, the concert will feature Australian classics, orchestral pieces, and performances by the following: Queensland Police Pipes and Drums, Australian Army Band Brisbane, and Queensland Symphony Orchestra. The QSO will also perform with musical theatre sensation Anne Wood, tenor soloist Kang Wang, the Queensland Choir, and the Brisbane Concert Choir.
