ANZAC Day Races - CANCELLED

How do you commemorate ANZAC Day? I always attend a service, sometimes a Dawn Service or often, a later local service. I also like to see the parade in the city to pay tribute to those courageous soldiers, nurses and others who fought for Australia and freedom. We should not forget our past wars and the ultimate sacrifice of the fallen. Those hardy and resilient service personnel and support staff shall be remembered.
This year, you may like to join in on ANZAC Day to pay your respects to Australia's brave servicemen and women somewhere different. The ANZAC Day Races highlight the role racing played in the lives of those serving and the contribution of horses in war. Have you seen the movie
War Horse?
There will be plenty happening on the course, of course, including ANZAC Day commemorations, great thoroughbred racing and five-star hospitality. Children have been catered for as well - they can explore jumping castles, face painting stations, lawn games and more in the FREE Track-side Kids' Zone.
The racing event is being held on Saturday, 25 April from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm at Eagle Farm Racecourse at 230 Lancaster Road in Ascot. It is being hosted by the Brisbane Racing Club. Gates open to members and the general public at 10.30 am. The function starts at 11.30 am.
You are invited to soak up all the atmosphere while you mix and mingle with your friends and family. Access to ANZAC Day Raceday is FREE for Australian Defence Force personnel and their families who present a valid Department of Defence Identification Card. Otherwise, tickets are available for members of the general public from $15.00 per person.
