Anzac Day is one of the most significant days on the Australian calendar, for it is a commemoration of the landing of Australian and New Zealand forces at Gallipoli on the 25th April 1915.



With hundreds of thousands of people around Australia attending dawn ceremonies all over Australia.

In Melbourne, The Shrine Of Remembrance Dawn Service sees thousands turn out in the dark and cold of early morning to pay their respects to those who fought and made the ultimate sacrifices so we can enjoy what we have today.

The Dawn Service starts at 6am at the Shrine Of Remembrance ( arrive by 5:30am)

Anzac Day March starts at 9am beginning from the corner of Swanston and Little Bourke St and continues to the The Shrine.

The parade includes veterans and serving personnel and now includes the descendants of veterans.

Commemorative service starts at 1pm

Directions to the Shrine;
The Shrine is located on Birdwood Ave and St Kilda Rd.
1.3 kilometres from Flinders St Station, roughly a ten minute walk or catch any St Kilda Rd South bound tram except no.1 and hop of at stop 18 or 19.

Extra trams will be running for the Anzac Day Service.
