The ANZAC Day Dawn Service at the Shrine of Remembrance will begin at 6.00am on Tuesday 25th of April, 2017.
It is recommended to assemble on the Shrine Forecourt by 4.30am.
The ANZAC Day Dawn Service is a significant part of ANZAC Day commemorations Australia wide. The ceremony usually features an introduction, hymn, prayer, laying of wreaths, playing of "The Last Post", a minute of silence, "Reveille" and concludes with the New Zealand and Australian national anthems.
All are welcome to attend this traditional ceremony, which is followed by the ANZAC Day March at 9am (along St Kilda Road). The March is led by veterans, serving personnel and descendants of veterans. It will conclude at the Shrine of Remembrance at 1.00pm.
Whilst at the Shrine of Remembrance, you can lay a poppy as a mark of respect.
