Event:
The Spirit Lives
ANZAC Day 2015 is the 100th Anniversary of the ANZAC Cove landings at Gallipoli in World War One. This year will be an extremely moving service, and record breaking crowds are expected at dawn services across the country.
This year, the RSL and Department of Veterans Affairs are encouraging Australian's to 'go local' - they are asking us to return to our home towns to boost numbers at services all across the country, not just in the big cities.
It's expected that the commemoration services in overseas countries will be well-attended by Australians too. These will include services at:
Gallipoli, Turkey
Lone Pine Cemetery, Turkey
Villers-Bretonneux, France
Digger Memorial, Bullecourt, France
Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea
Isurava Memorial, Papua New Guinea
Sandakan Memorial Park, Sabah, Malaysia
Hellfire Pass, Kanchanaburi, Thailand.
Australian War memorial, Hyde Park, London.
War Memorial Park, Wellington, New Zealand.
Buttes New British Cemetery, Zonnebeke Municipal War Memorial, Tyne Cot Cemetery, Ypres War Memorial, Menin Gate, Toronto Avenue and the Last Post Ceremony, Menin Gate - all in Belgium.
ABC TV will do live broadcasts of the Dawn Service in Gallipoli, Lone Pine and Villers-Bretonneux. Check TV guides for details closer to the date.
A yearly tradition that spans the generations, ANZAC Day Dawn Service is an opportunity for all Australians to remember our past and present soldiers, who gave, and still give, so much to defend our country.
For those wishing to attend a service to honour those who have fallen, served and sacrificed, below is a list of places and times of ANZAC Day services across Adelaide and South Australia (list is subject to change, see article footnote).

Locations and times are current, as at March 2015, and are subject to change. The list will be updated as details for each event is finalised. The closer we get to the 25th of April, the more accurate the list will become. Please check the RSL website for any updates.
Donations to the RSL ANZAC Appeal are accepted online, for those who cannot attend a Dawn Service.
The RSL of SA have also created a Virtual War Memorial. It's very interesting and educational, and you can submit your own photos and articles.
As the 6 am airport curfew passes in Adelaide on the morning of the service, I sincerely hope that the heaps of passenger jet aircraft will not repeat their uninvited fly past of the North Tce service as they did in 2014. Around six jets in all. IT WAS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE AND THOUGHTLESS. - Jim Scammell.
