Anytime Fitness has come to Rosebud and another gym is always appreciated as each one has something different to offer. This one is open 24 hours to their members who get a pass that opens the door when the gym is not staffed.
I have started on the complimentary 7 day pass which allows me access during the hours when staff are available and several things impressed me about this style of training.
Disabled access: I love inclusive businesses. The front doors are double and open up very wide with a very spacious interior to make assisted access easy. Patrons are also able to enter from the rear of the premises from a dedicated car park. There is a ramp with small incline up to the disabled bathroom. Full support is offered and some dedicated equipment will be in the premises soon. Staff and management were very professional when I asked about disabled access which is important so I can assure you it's not an afterthought.
Members get free access to Anytime Health which seems to have too many tools on your road to fitness to mention and the Community feature might interest those feeling like they need a bit of support or a fitness buddy.
The wall of medical equipment caught my eye immediately. What a great safety feature that I would like to see in all gyms. For anyone with health issues, I'm sure this would ease the tension of those 'what if' moments wondering if anyone would be able to handle a medical emergency. This includes a dedicated emergency phone, necklaces with an emergency button that you can wear whilst working out if you need to, and an auto defibrillator.
The gym was very clean. Yes it is new, but I chatted with staff about this and the cleaning responsibility is shared by all with a super fastidious weekday cleaner. Hand wipe stations are nearby to the equipment so patrons can assist after they have used a machine as well.
Security was impressive. I didn't want to leave my personals in the car of course and particularly over summer that is never advised. They have an open shelf system with security cameras 24/7 which left me free to work out rather than constantly look over my shoulder at my handbag.
They have been open for such a short time but have already established themselves as support for community events such as the Arthur's Seat Challenge and assisting the Red Cross with donation pledges.
The location is great. It is not far from shops such as Aldi and close to the beach if you wanted to do some weights and incorporate a walk/run/cycle or swim. There is an extensive bike path along that foreshore area near the campsites.
My favourite part, I'm admitting, is the TV screens on all the Life Fitness equipment. I know it shouldn't take a TV screen to get me running but I did find an old episode of Jag and noticed 26 minutes of program later that I had been running the whole time. The audio and TV quality was great so don't forget to take a good set of headphones.
I am a member of this gym and have been since it opened! The staff are incredibly friendly, the equipment is great and the 24 hour access works well for me ( fulltime ) as I can't get to gyms during normal business hours. Extremely happy. And completely agree with your review.
I had a workout this morning and watched a great documentary about development aid in regional countries. What a nice morning at the gym. I also like the open membership prices..they are displayed at the front desk.
