Everything old is "in" at the moment. People are realizing how precious the old arts and crafts are. Wolston House has an amazing collection of Antique and Vintage Lace which they will be displaying on Sunday February 16th from 11am to 4pm.

Wolston House is a wonderful sandstone farmhouse built in 1852 and now lovingly preserved by National Trust volunteers. It sits on a hill overlooking the Brisbane River. It is displayed like a lived in home rather than a museum and you really get the feel of living in Colonial times. I have been there many times as part of the Dance Kaleidoscope performance group and always enjoy the experience.

Wolston House is in a rural setting and the drive there is pleasant although a bit tricky. They serve Devonshire Teas ($6.50) and various drinks and you can eat under shady trees. Take a picnic if you wish. There is plenty of room for children to run about. There is also a shop with arts and crafts. For extra fun you could dress in Colonial costume.

Parking is plentiful and free.
