It's funny what you notice. I took my two kids to the to test out the new remote control car that was supposed to go 160 kmh. I'd say it went more like 5 kmh so this was a bit of a disappointment. After charging the battery for eight long hours my son handled the anti climax very well. 'This does not go 160, even down hill!' he exclaimed.



When we arrived there were only two cars in the car park. Some people came and went and when we left there were two others parked there.



At there are two ovals. We chose the highest level oval from the two ovals there. There were two walkers going for their morning walk. On the lower there were two people walkers with two dogs.



While we were there a dad drove up with his two boys. He had a couple of footys and a handful of batteries for the boom box he had brought with him. They were there to do footy drills. It looked like serious fun.

Opposite the ovals is a playground with two separate sets of play equipment. I wondered why they would have two so close. Perhaps one is better suited to younger children.

Along the driveway there is the historic St Katherine's Church Artist Walter Withers, of the Heidelberg School, buried in the Church's small cemetery.

I saw that they have picnic tables and BBQ equipment but I think they only have one. Maybe I'm wrong because the reserve is quite big.



Keep your eye open for the reserve. It cannot be seen from the roadway except for the driveway but it is signposted. The is only a minutes drive from the St Helena marketplace so convenient if you want to grab a coffee and some snacks at the Sweet Temptations café and have a picnic.
