As blossoms appear amid the cold winter chill it is a sign that the season of spring is just around the corner. At least there will be some art exhibitions to brighten up the cold winter month of August. SALA is the celebration of South Australia's living artists. There is a great program of exhibitions in August, including one that focuses on spring and all things floral.

Angela Palios - Biography**
Anthi is a collection of works by artist Angela Palios featuring acrylic paintings. Angela was born in the region of Macedonia, Northern Greece and migrated to Australia with her family when she was very young. She describes always having an interest in drawing and art work but life intervened and she was unable to spend much time painting until the last few years, when she decided to go back to college to further her art studies.

Angela works mostly with flowers because they make her happy. 'I feel that flowers create positive feelings in people's lives. There are so many exciting and wonderful ways people can express their feelings by sending flowers to the people they love. Flowers have the power to touch the heart of everyone. Without flowers the world would be dull and colourless. I strongly believe that nature has the power to heal'. Angela continues to find inspiration in flowers and explore the different species of flowers and various elements of nature.

Solo Exhibition
Her solo exhibition entitled Anthi features wonderful floral images and is showing in August and September. The SALA exhibition commences August 1st until September 27th.

Opening Hours
Hours are Thursday and Friday from 9am to 12 midday. Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 2pm. The venue is the newly refurbished Bethany Hall at Willunga Uniting Church. Corner of St Andrew's Tce and St Jude Street, Willunga.
